ABOUT
Growing up in the country, the river became an intrinsic part of my identity, and sparked an early interest in sustainability.
The desert landscape of my home, school, and town, instilled a deep sense of respect for the balance between the built and natural environment.
My love for science, coupled with a desire to help others through my career led to me studying and working to become a paramedic before pursuing architecture. I learned how to navigate crises in high-stress environments, and develop a skill set to help resolve seemingly insurmountable challenges calmly and methodically.
With my diverse professional background, I’ve honed an adaptable and sophisticated approach to collaboration and collective growth. I remain values-driven, confidently navigating changing environments calmly and methodically, even in the face of significant challenges.
For eight years, architecture has been my gateway to engage with the world and its people. It has allowed me to design with democratic principles, collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, and enhance human experiences through thoughtful design.
My roles at Snøhetta, advocacy work with the AIA, and teaching positions at The University of Adelaide and The University of South Australia have shaped an open-minded, inclusive approach to design.
