PRIDHAM HALL

Kaurna Country
Adelaide, SA

Status: Complete

Pridham Hall at the University of South Australia is a versatile facility featuring a pool, sports hall, rock climbing walls, function spaces, and integrated green areas. It serves as a welcoming hub for both students and visitors.

The design promotes public access to both exterior and interior spaces, fostering a sense of community ownership and engagement.

The inviting facade encourages activity inside and outside the building. On the north-eastern and western sides, large external public amphitheatres are flanked by green wings designed to showcase native South Australian flora.

CONTRIBUTIONS

DD, Construction

When I began working with Snøhetta, Pridham Hall was in the Design Development phase. Consequently, I contributed to the documentation of the DD Report, associated drawings, and the construction drawing set.

I was involved in various design testing and detailing of elements, including the rock climbing wall, signage and wayfinding, and donor recognition elements around the pool, chandelier, and the underside of the western amphitheater.
